Deputy chairman of the Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPPDA) Chiril Motpan reacted to the defection announcement made by several members of the party’s Orhei Local Organization, including its head. In a post on Facebook, Chiril Motpan says the Orhei Local Organization goes nowhere and remains faithful to the ideas for which the Platform struggles, while by self-cleansing it becomes stronger.
According to Chiril Motpan, the organization’s head came not to save the country from Plahotniuc’s mafia, but to make money and gain something, IPN reports.
Chiril Motpan said that on January 15, at the request of the Council of the Orhei Local Organization, he and Andrei Nastase had a meeting with a group of members and supporters of the PPPDA from Orhei. “We presumed we will have a dialogue, an exchange of opinions on the situation inside the organization and possible actions that can help overcome the uncertain situation that appeared after the current head of the local organization Ion Levinta had a number of meetings with an individual called Nicolae Garbu. These hatched during many days in order to persuade members of the local organization to join an ephemerons political project of Nicolae Garbu and Vasile Iacubov, who are former members of the Political Bureau of the Platform “Dignity and Truth”,“ wrote Chiril Motpan.
Four persons, among whom the head of the Orhei Local Organization of the PPPDA Ion Levinta, on January 16 announced that they decided to leave the party. They said the PPPDA no longer represents them and they no longer trust the party’s leader Andrei Nastase, who, according to them, only profits from the work of the people and pursues the exclusive goal of gaining power.
