Three members of the Political Party “Our Party” (PPPN) started to be followed by the police after they spoke over the phone about the organization of provocations on the night before the July 30 protest. According to the chief of the General Police Inspectorate Alexandru Panzari, following the telephone discussions between the three members of the party on the eve of the protest, banners and brochures denigrating the leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase and boxes with diapers appeared on Stefan cel Mare Blvd, IPN reports.

In a news conference, Alexandru Panzari said the police during the taken investigative measures came into possession of materials that include wiretaps of telephonic discussions between Serghei Urechean, Serghei Dandara and an individual called Liviu, who are all members of the PPPN. Investigations are carried out based on the collected evidence to establish exactly what the members of the party planned to do.

“The press disseminated a video showing two persons dressed in reflective vests installing the banners under the guidance of a third person. The police are now taking all the necessary measures to identify these persons. It is regrettable that the leader of the PPPDA Andrei Nastase, without analyzing the real situation in which he found himself owing to the political games he entered, on July 31 decided to accuse the police of acting in collusion with those who set up the banners,” stated Alexandru Panzari.

He also said that employees of the Buiucani Police Inspectorate are taking measures to identity the authors of these acts.

PPPDA leader Andrei Nastase told a news conference given in front of the Ministry of the Interior that the measures to spoil his image are taken under the auspices of the police, by order of the Democratic leader Vlad Plahotniuc, through the agency of Minister of the Interior Alexandru Jizdan. Even if he does not trust the police, he submitted a complaint to the police to show that the police officers do not serve the people’s interests.
