Prime Minister Pavel Filip, at the beginning of the March 23 meeting of the Cabinet, said he was surprised to find out that one of the bailiffs who was involved in the scheme to launder money through the banking system was recently acquitted by the court of law, IPN reports.
The Premier said he does not make accusations and asked the minister of justice to make use of his status of member of the Supreme Council of Magistracy and initiate inspections at the Disciplinary Board and the Judicial Inspectorate.
“Regretfully, the Government does not have instruments to influence the court decisions. But transparency is our weapon. We will make public such cases so that society knows them,” stated Pavel Filip.
