Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici, in the meeting of the national council for reforming the law enforcement bodies, made public the idea of creating a European mission for fighting corruption. “This project was discussed with the European partners and we are to launch it in the near future,” said the Premier, adding that the justice sector and the fight against corruption are high on the executive’s list of priorities, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
“The goal of this mission will be to strengthen the capacity of the bodies dealing with corruption fighting and to implement the good European practices in this field,“ stated Chiril Gaburici.
He also said that the Government is making effort to remove corruption from all the fields, especially the justice sector. He suggested creating a common center for reforming the law enforcement bodies by deploying the best specialists of the Ministry of the Interior, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the National Anticorruption Center, the National Integrity Commission and representatives of civil society and experts to work at this institution. The center will serve as a platform for analyzing, coordinating and working our policies and normative documents and for supervising the bodies responsible for the justice sector reform.
