Prime Minister Pavel Filip instructed the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry to urgently gauge the extent of the damage done by the recent snowfall and to suggest a plan of action for remedying the crisis situation and supporting farmers. The plan is to be discussed in a special meeting of the Cabinet on April 21, IPN reports.
Pavel Filip ordered that the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service should immediately take preventative and intervention measures following the unfavorable meteorological conditions and should monitor the situation at the local level so that the rescuers and firefighters take swift measures to help the people.
The State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a yellow code warning for frost all over the country for the next few days.
