The year 2014 may be declared the Year of Dumitru Matcovschi, who passed away last week. Such a proposal was submitted by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca at the beginning of the July 3 meeting of the Government. The Premier asked that the ministers ponder over his proposal and draft a relevant bill, IPN reports.
The official said the ministers should also think about the fact that Dumitru Matcovschi’s family remained without a source of income. The writer, who was a member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, received a high pension. Iurie Leanca asked identifying possibilities of helping the family.
The Premier underlined that there are other persons who are in a similar situation, besides the wife of Dumitru Matcovschi.
