Valeriu Strelet asked that the decision to raise the natural gas tariffs should be reviewed. The Premier ordered that the Ministry of Economy should carry out an analysis in this regard. The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) was recommended to review the given decision. The Prime Minister made such statements after the August 5 meeting of the Supreme Security Council, where the given issue was discussed, IPN reports.
“The rightness of these rises was discussed a lot. There was formulated even a rather categorical recommendation about these rises, which the ANRE should take into account,” said Valeriu Strelet.
He also said that the import price of the natural gas decreased in the first and third quarters and is to fall in the fourth quarter too. “Given such realities, the taken steps must be very responsible,” he stated.
