President Igor Dodon has signed a decree approving the appointment of Rodica Antoci as chairperson of the National Integrity Authority. With the decree published in the Official Gazette, Antoci will have five days to take her oath of office.
“I do hope Mrs Antoci will do her job and the Authority will continue to discourage behaviors generating corruption in the administration. There is a lot to do in this area”, stated the president on Friday after meeting the incoming official.
Rodica Antoci’s previous job was head of the Ministry of Justice’s Forensic Laboratory. She was nominated to the office following a contest organized by the Integrity Council.
The National Integrity Authority is an independent public body created to verify the incomes, assets and interests of public office holders.
