Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis welcomes the investiture of the new Government in Moldova. “I welcome the investiture of the new Government of Moldova, which a pro-European one,” the Romanian head of state says in a message published on a social networking site, IPN reports.
“I know that the tasks put before the new Government in Chisinau are not at all easy, but I want our partners to be sure that they will find in Romania the most important support in overcoming the economic difficulties and in continuing the pro-European course. Success to Mister Valeriu Strelet!” reads the message.
On July 30, the Cabinet headed by the Lib-Dems Valeriu Strelet was installed by the votes of 52 MPs of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party. The MPs of the Party of Socialists and the Party of Communists voted against, while unaffiliated lawmakers Iurie Leanca, Eugen Carpov and Nicolae Juravschi abstained.
