The Central Election Commission (CEC) said 3,426 (77.5%) of the 4,421 candidates for the mayoralty are men, while 995 (22.5%) are women. As many as 63,496 persons are running for councilor. Of these, 41,137 (64.8%) are men, while 22,351 (35.2%) are women, IPN reports.

Of the 28 candidates for mayoralty in municipalities, one person is younger than 30, 13 persons (46.43%) are aged between 30 and 50, while 14 candidates (50%) are aged between 50 and 70.

In villages and communes, 276 candidates running for mayor (6.28% of the total) are younger than 30, 1,902 (43.30%) are aged between 30 and 50, while 2,195 (49.97%) are aged between 50 and 70.

A number of 54,482 persons are running for the post of councilor in the electoral districts of the first level. Of these, 7,294 (13.39%) are younger than 30, 23,482 (43.10%) are aged between 30 and 50, while 22.676 (41.62%) are aged between 50 and 70.

Of the total of 9,014 candidates running for councilor in the electoral districts of the second level, 1,181 (2.17%) are aged under 30, 3,623 (6.65%) are aged between 30 and 50, while 4,043 (7.42%) are aged between 50 and 70.
