The process of training ICT specialists in technical professional education is to be modernized within a project that was launched by the Educational Center “PRO Didactica” and the National Association of ICT Companies on January 29. Another goal of the initiative is to develop an education offer adjusted to the current needs of the industry, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the National Association of ICT Companies, the project to the value of £694,000 will be implemented between December 2015 and November 2018. The activities will be aimed at increasing the capacities of the Center of Excellence in Informatics and Information Technology, which was created by reorganizing the Informatics Colleague of Chisinau, so as to make it a driving force in professional education.
The capacities of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Professional Education will be strengthened by offering assistance in developing the basic standards, organizational procedures and working process. There will be implemented extended continuous formation programs for teachers and created internship opportunities for students and teachers so as to adjust the results of the education process to the expectations of the private sector.
The project “Partnerships for quality and relevance in technical professional education in the ICT sector of the Republic of Moldova” is implemented with support from the Austrian Development Agency and the Government of Romania.
