According to Veaceslav Ionita, the report was published on October 3, but it contains a sub-report on the expenditure at the Academy of Sciences of Moldova dating from October 7. Veaceslav Ionita admitted that the report was examined by the commission he heads, but said the infringement at that stage wasn’t identified.

Serafim Urecheanu told the journalists that the report contains no violation and he is afraid of no international commission. According to him, not everyone liked the data included in the report because they revealed deviations at the state institutions, which caused damage of 8 billion lei to the budget. The Audit Office report covers about 360 institutions.
