Prosecutor’s Office can and should shed light on raider attacks, Premier

The Prosecutor’s Office has the instruments needed to cast light on the raider attack cases, considers Prime Minister Vlad Filat. In the program “In profunzime” on ProTV channel, he said he knows who is behind these illegalities, but refused to give names, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I cannot provide names, but things are much clearer than they try to present them,” said the Premier, stressing the Prosecutor’s Office can and should prove who is behind these raider attacks. “In the near future, we will present a detailed analysis of the cases of the kind that took place over time. Information will be made public about the amounts involved and the names of those who took decisions. There are the same judges implicated,” said Vlad Filat. Four commercial banks had been the targets of raider attacks last year. A new case of raider attack was made public recently. It was aimed at the state-run company “Registru”. The prosecutors started to investigate the case after the Economic Court of Appeals last December passed a decision, ordering levying US$41 million from “Registru”.
