Prosecutors to appeal decision acquitting policeman that aggressed journalist Oleg Brega

The Chisinau Prosecutor's Office intends to appeal the court decision that discharged police officer Nicolae Agarici, who reportedly aggressed journalist Oleg Brega on 8 April 2009, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Buiucani District Court on Monday, June 28, acquitted the police officer employed at the Scut Regiment of charges of illegal confiscation and abuse of authority. On 8 April 2009, the policeman reportedly aggressed journalist Oleg Brega in the rear of the Government building, beating him and depriving him of two video cameras.
