The patentees who have protested in front of the Palace of the Republic before the legislative body’s sittings for a period talked to unaffiliated lawmaker Mihai Godea on March 29. He promised them he will put forward a legislative initiative that would solve their problems, Info-Prim Neo reports. More than 200 patentees chanted Thursday in front of the Palace of the Republic while the MPs were coming together for the sitting. “How can Mister Filat sleep undisturbed? Our children went to work abroad because they cannot earn their living here,” a protester told Mihai Godea. Eugen Roscovanu, chairman of the Small Business Association and the protesters’ leader, said that the patentees have staged protests for three years, but the government ignores them. “The parliamentary commission on economy, budget and finance avoids dealing with their problems. The traders want to pay for patent and agree to pay the health insurance policy. They cannot cover the costs for setting up a private company. It is too costly,” said Eugen Roscovanu. The protesters in front of the Palace of the Republic included traders of flowers, meat and secondhand mobile phones. Some of them came from Balti and Cahul.
