The Chisinau pensioners moved from the Government to the Chisinau City Hall, where they started the protests a month ago. After protesting for about three hours on Tuesday, the pensioners, who were lower in number this time, dispersed with the intention of returning in two days, when the Chisinau councilors will come together for a meeting. The elderly persons continue to demand that they are allowed to travel by public means of transport free of charge and that the water and sewerage charges be decreased. Last Friday, they suspended the protest held in front of the Government after Prime Minister Vlad Filat assured the organizer of the protests Maia Laguta that he will present the inspection results justifying the rises in charges. Asked by Info-Prim Neo's reporter what did they agree at the meeting, Maia Laguta, the head of the “Salvgardare” NGO, said that the Premier asked to give him 2-3 days until the National Agency for Energy Regulation and the water supplier SA Apa-Canal Chisinau submit the necessary documents. The pensioners are ready to protest every Tuesday and Thursday, until their demands are satisfied.
