Parliament declared a seat of MP vacant after MP of the Party of Socialists Vladimir Golovatiuc was named Moldova’s Ambassador to Russia, IPN reports.
Under the draft decision on the resignation of MP Golovatiuc, the seat fell vacant following the resignation tendered by the MP. The official, who headed the Parliament’s commission on economy, budget and finance, vacated the seat of MP on January 20, 2021.
Vladimir Golovatiuc entered Parliament on the Socialist ticket as a result of the legislative elections of February 2019.
Grigorii Uzun, 34, is the next substitute candidate on the PSRM’s list. He is an engineer by profession and is from Vulcănești town. He served as a deputy on the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia.
