Public TV channel “Moldova 1” looking for director

The Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” has announced a contest to fill the post of director of the national TV channel “Moldova 1”. The post fell vacant on March 12.
“Information about the vacancy is available on the company’s website. An announcement is also made during prime time on “Moldova 1”. The announcement will be published in the Official Gazette in Romanian and Russian in the edition of March 23 or at the start of next week,” the chairman of the Supervisory Board Eugeniu Rybka has told Info-Prim Neo.
Those who want to take part in the contest must submit an application, in written form and in electronic form, within 15 workdays of the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette, to the following address: Chisinau municipality, 1 Miorita St, Radio House, fifth floor, office 505.
The application must be accompanied by the candidate’s CV and the intent project on the development of the TV channel, proofs that the applicant meets the required conditions and a statement on the existence of incompatibilities for holding the post or on the intention to remove them.
The applicants must have managerial skills and higher education, be citizens of Moldova and know the official language. The members of an executive body, shareholders or owners of a private broadcaster, members of a party or of other political organizations, members of the Government and MPs, members of the Broadcasting Coordination Council and of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” cannot apply for the post.
The applications can be filed on Monday through Friday, between 09.00 and 12.30 and 13.30 and 17.00. A meeting to announce the results will be held within ten workdays of the deadline for submissions.
Former “Moldova 1” director Angela Sarbu tendered her resignation on February 29. Her last workdays was March 11. Angela Sarbu had held the post since February 2010.
