The Cabinet approved a draft law on the ratification of the agreement on defense cooperation between the Moldovan and French governments, which was signed in Paris on March 7, 2024, IPN reports.
Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatyi in the Cabinet’s meeting said that the bill comes in the context of the efforts to strengthen the bilateral cooperation relations in the military sector and to adjust the legal framework to the current security situation.
By concluding this agreement, the defense institutions of the two states will expand cooperation in a number of areas, both bilaterally and within international organizations.
To take effect, the agreement needs to be subject to ratification by Parliament.
