The new item ”Natalia Gherman is a suitable candidate for presidency, ambassador” that was published on November 24 is removed. As a result of a notification from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the editorial staff of Info-Prim Neo specifies that:
In a public lecture at the University of Pultusk in Poland themed “Moldova’s European prospects and Moldova-Polish relations”, answering the questions of those attending, Moldovan Ambassador to Poland Iurie Bodrug said no solution for electing the President of Moldova has been yet found.
In another development, the ambassador said that Deputy Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman, who is Moldova’s chief negotiator with the EU, has special abilities that are appreciated by the European partners. He added that Natalia Gherman, alongside Ambassador Igor Munteanu, has been regarded as a suitable candidate for the presidency.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Iurie Bodrug confirmed that he said Natalia Gherman is a wise person and the European partners approve of her as a chief negotiator. He stressed that it is not within the ambassadors’ competence to propose candidates for the presidency as their duty is to promote the country’s interests aboard.
