The Ministry of Justice on June 23 registered the Reformist Communist Party of Moldova. The new party has the abbreviation PCR, is headed by Ruslan Popa and has over 4,500 members, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Justice, the Reformist Communists submitted the documents needed for registration on May 20. The party’s symbols were adopted in the May 3 congress. The permanent symbols of the PCR are an ear of wheat and the hammer. The two elements cross each other and there is a star at their top.
The PCR is the 41st party registered in Moldova. Since 2010 until now, the Ministry of Justice has registered 13 political organizations.
