Releases from Costesti-Stanca and Dubasari reservoirs reduced

The releases from the reservoir Costesti-Stanca have been decreased this morning to 590 cubic meters per second. Liliana Puscasu, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, told Info-Prim Neo that the level of the Prut water in northern Moldova has fallen, but continues to rise in the center and south of the country. In Lipcani, Briceni, the water level decreased by 45 centimeters, in Sireuti – by 66 cm, in Edinet – by 15 cm, while on the Glodeni – Falesti segment – by 15 cm. At the same time, it increased by 1 cm in Hancesti and Ungheni districts and by 2-12 cm in Cahul. The Nistru water level fell by 10 cm in Vadul lui Voda, 30 cm in Ocnita, Otaci, and 33 cm in Soroca. On the Floresti – Rezina segment, the level of water is under 10 cm, but on the Anenii Noi – Stefan Voda segment and in Delacau, Causeni, Talmaza and Olsnesti went up by 12 – 27 cm. The releases from the reservoir in Dubasari were reduced to 1,400 cubic meters per second. Besides natural disasters, there are reported tragedies caused by people. A 34-year-old man from Budai village of Telenesti district was killed in a fire caused by a lit cigarette. A man aged 48 drowned in a lake near Anenii Noi.
