The Constitutional Court might put off today's hearing, where it is to examine the circumstances justifying the dissolution of the legislative body. The Court's judge Victor Puscas suggested postponing the hearing until Thursday or Friday as the Court needs to study first the results of the constitutional referendum. The judges will make a decision after deliberations, Info-Prim Neo reports. Victor Puscas does not rule out that the September 5 referendum can be declared null and void so that the Central Election Commission (CEC) could organize a rerun referendum in a month. The Parliament's representative to the Constitutional Court Ion Creanga said the outcome of the plebiscite is a responsibility of the CEC and the Court might take a related decision today. For his part, the Government's representative to the Court, Deputy Minister of Justice Gheorghe Susarenko considers the Constitutional Court may delay passing judgment on the dissolution of Parliament and examine the results of the constitutional referendum first so as to exclude any doubt. [Update_10.40] After about half an hour of deliberation, the Court decided to reject Victor Puscas's proposal, arguing the judge could not present conclusive proofs.
