GIZ Moldova announces the extension of the Call for Project Proposals for Condominium Owners' Associations (PCAs) managing small residential blocks. Under the call, small residential blocks can benefit from support in developing energy audits and technical projects, IPN reports.

APCs can apply for one of 30 free energy audits or one of 10 free pilot technical projects for small residential blocks (up to 20 apartments) they manage.

According to the National Center for Sustainable Energy, the energy audits and technical projects aim to prepare for the subsequent implementation of energy rehabilitation measures and renewable energy solutions, which can be co-financed at a later stage through the Fund for Energy Efficiency in the Residential Sector in Moldova (FEERM).

The financing program of the Fund for Energy Efficiency in the Residential Sector of Moldova (FEERM) was approved by the Government in April last year. According to estimates, around 1.4 billion lei will be allocated in the years 2024-2027, and the FEERM budget will be managed by the National Center for Sustainable Energy.
