Road between City Gates and Sangera town will be repaired until August 15

The repair works on Dacia Boulevard from the City Gates and the bridge of Sangera suburb, will be finalized by August 15. The promise was made by local and central authorities who visited the site on July 26, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Transports and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru declared that the works were funded by both the government funds and the municipal budget. The Ministry allotted 17 million lei for the repair of the road. Anatol Salaru explained that this section was chosen because it was “the face of the country”, as all foreign delegation entered this way when coming from the Airport. Authorities assure that the short deadline for the works won’t affect their quality. According to the Minister, this section of road won’t need to be repaired for at least another four years. The road was built in 1974 and, except patching, has never been repaired since. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said that the Municipality would allot 20 million lei. Half the sum would go for repairing the road, the rest for the road lighting system. According to the Mayor, the installation of lights would begin in fall and be finished in spring.
