The Road Fund will be by 65 million lei larger and will total 1.225 billion lei, IPN reports, quoting the amendments to the program on the utilization of the Road Fund for 2013, approved by the Government.
The rise was generated by the increase in the amounts collected as excises on fuels and as road taxes. However, some of the works planned for 2013 haven’t been performed owing to the unfavorable weather conditions.
Therefore, the Government made changes to the program, redistributing the money. A sum of 20 million lei will be allocated to Moldova’s Railways for setting up intersections on public roads, while 103 million lei will go to rehabilitate the asphalt layer on 46 km of the Rezina-Orhei-Calarasi road.
