Road workers focus on glazed frost, snow removal

The specialized services in Chisinau started work on the streets since early morning. Vasile Filip, deputy director of the State Road Administration, has told Info-Prim Neo that the situation in the country is under control and the transportation services were not disrupted. According to Filip, there is glazed frost mainly in the districts of Cahul, Vulcanesti, Ungheni, and Snagerei. About 35 units of transport are removing the snow and spreading anti-skid material in the districts of the country. Vasile Filip said the State Hydrometeorology Service warned more snow is expected. All the available resources will be mobilized, including about 380 machines and over 46,000 tonnes of anti-skid material. The snow has not yet reached northern Moldova as it came from the South. It did not go further the municipality of Balti yet. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the information units of the Chisinau bus services said they experienced no major delays. Only the buses running on distances of more than 150 kilometers are 15-20 minutes late.
