Roads in Moldova are passable

All the roads in the country were passable at 6pm. Owing to the low visibility and heavy snow, the traffic encounters difficulties, press officer of the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure Dragos Turea has told Info-Prim Neo. Diana Turcan, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, said that six settlements in Taraclia, Causeni and Gagauzia were partially disconnected from the power supply. Prime Minister Vlad Filat Friday signed an ordinance in connection with the advisory for heavy snowfall issued by the State Hydrometeorology Service. He requested the responsible institutions to take the measures needed to ensure the functionality of the units managed by them, especially of the social, medical and education institutions, so as to avoid possible technical or energy accidents. According to weather forecasters, heavy snow will fall until January 28. Nighttime temperatures will fall to minus 18 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures – to minus 9 degrees Celsius.
