The Romanian language courses for other language speakers that were run for employees of state institutions free of charge will become accessible to employees of private organizations from September 1, 2011, but for payment.
Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, head of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, has told Info-Prim Neo that they decided to make the courses available after they received a lot of applications from private organizations. The price of the courses depends on the number of hours and the applicants' level of knowledge – beginners, intermediary and advanced. The courses last for a year.
Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb also said that next year they may hand over certificates to those who study Romanian. The courses will be given at the Division's Romanian Language Studying Center. Those who want can file applications to the Division.
The Romanian language courses for other language speakers have been organized since 1991. The regulations governing the activity of the Romanian Language Studying Center was approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council on May 4 this year.
