Romanian parliamentary delegation expected in Chisinau by mid February

Moldovan acting president and speaker Marian Lupu met with the Romanian Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca on Thursday to discuss a schedule of actions to intensify bilateral inter-parliamentary collaboration, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the interim head of the state, a delegation of the Romanian parliament led by the head of the foreign policy commission of the Senate, Titus Corlatean will arrive in Chisinau by mid-February. Marian Lupu added that they agreed to begin work on some twinning project ideas for developing a set of trainings and experience exchanges at parliamentary level. Ambassador Marius Lazurca saluted the Romanian government’s important role in the governing strategy of the Alliance for European Integration. He assured Marian Lupu that Romania would remain a loyal, dynamic and active partner of Moldova in the process of reform and modernization. Also, the ambassador presented Marian Lupu the Romanian President Traian Basescu’s congratulatory message on Lupu's appointment as speaker and interim president of Moldova.
