Russian specialists are expected to come to Moldovan during the next few weeks to inspect fruit exporting companies. The administration of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry will discuss the resumption of the export of canned fruit and vegetables to Russia with them, Minister Eduard Grama said in a meeting with representatives of the Association of Can Producers “Speranta-Con”, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry, the representatives of the association asked for support in creating equal conditions for the companies working in the canning industry, more advantageous lending conditions and the reduction in the VAT from 20% to 8%.
Eduard Grama said the Ministry can support the canning industry through the subsidization fund created based on the assistance loan provided by the Government of Poland and the investment project “Moldova’s Orchard” that is financed by the European Investment Bank.
The Ministry’s administration requested the members of the Association of Can Producers “Speranta-Con” to present their demands in written form, together with their arguments, and assured that measures will be taken to improve the working conditions for fruit and vegetable processors.
