The sale and use of pyrotechnical devices during the state of emergency are banned, with particular exceptions, the General Police Inspectorate specified, making reference to an order made by the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.

According to the Inspectorate, the sale and use of pyrotechnics, recreational fireworks and different types of squibs and firecrackers (whistling and sparkling types) during the state of emergency are not allowed.

Only the fireworks whose diameter does not exceed 30 mm and recreational fireworks that pose a reduced risk and do not make a loud noise and are designed for use inside and outside can be used and sold.

The police recommend the business entities specialized in the sale of pyrotechnics and private individuals that the nonobservance of the rules set down by the Commission for Exceptional Situations entails punishment.

The state of emergency in Moldova was extended for another 60 days as from December 6.
