If parliamentary elections were held this Sunday, the same four parties that formed the legislative body in 2010 - the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party - would enter Parliament after them. According to a survey, the Communist Party would poll most of the votes.

The poll, conducted by the Sociological Research and Branding Company of Romania, shows that 55% of the respondents who intend to take part in the elections would choose the Communist Party, 17% the Lib-Dems, 10% the Democrats, while 9% the Liberal Party. The people’s movement “Antimafie”, the Liberal Reforming Party and the Party of Socialists would gain by 2% of the vote and would thus not enter Parliament.

If legislative elections were held this Sunday, 77% of the respondents would go to the polls, 18% would not go, while 5% don’t know. 56% of those polled said they would be interested in elections if they took place next Sunday, while 40% wouldn’t be interested in them.

The survey was carried out between November 2 and November 12 and covered a sample of 1,077 people from 61 settlements. The margin of sampling error is 3%. The poll was commissioned by businessman Renato Usatyi, who settled in Russia.
