Sappers destroy 35 explosives dating from WWII

The military combat engineers disposed of 35 explosive devices dating from the Second World War discovered during agricultural and construction works, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a communique, the Ministry of Defense says that the most dangerous arsenal was found in Rascaieti village of Stefan Voda district. It included ten artillery shells of different caliber. They had stayed in the ground for over 60 years and were neutralized on the spot in conditions of maxim security.
The military bomb squad was also called by residents of Hancesti town, were there were found 15 Soviet explosives, including artillery shells, warheads, grenades and launchers.
The combat engineers destroyed ten artillery shells and grenades in villages of Comrat, Anenii Noi, Criuleni and Floresti districts.
According to the Sapper Service of the National Army, 924 explosive devises found all over Moldova have been disposed of this year.
