As from April 1, the patients with multiple types of diseases will be treated with compensated medicines according to updated schemes. It goes to persons with diseases of the digestive, urinary and osteoarticular systems, muscular and connective tissue, endocrine, nutrition and metabolic disorders, IPN reports.
The decision to update the schemes of treatment with compensated medicines by adding new drugs from among the compensated ones was taken by the Council for medicines compensated with mandatory health insurance funds.
The Ministry of Health said the method and length of treatment in the case of particular diseases were also reviewed. It was decided that DCI leflunomidum, which is fully compensated for adults and children, will be prescribed not only for the episodic treatment of arthritis, but also for the long-term treatment of systemic and autoimmune diseases.
Also, the patients with chronic pyelonephritis, both grownups and children, will benefit from antibacterial treatment in injectable form.
