A total of 120 young people from 44 countries of the world, including the Republic of Moldova, will have the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the German parliamentary system. A delegation of the German Bundestag, led by Manfred Grund, will be present in Chișinău for the candidate selection process from Moldova, a German Embassy press release informs.
"The President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Zinaida Greceanîi, as well as the President of the Friendship with the Federal Republic of Germany Group, Igor Grosu, and the President of the Committee for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass-media, Adrian Lebedinschi, will meet on September 16, at 16:00, în Chişinău, with the German representatives”, the press release states.
The program will start in March 2020 and will end by the final part of June 2020.
The candidates selected for the Bundestag's "International Parliamentary Scholarship" program will receive a scholarship from the German parliament. Additionally, according to the press release, the program aims to closely monitor democratic and political decision-making processes.
"The scholars besides from working in the office of a Bundestag member, can also attend courses at the universities of Berlin", the communique claims.
According to the quoted source, all the expenses for transport, accommodation and insurance, as well as a monthly scholarship, are covered by the German Bundestag.
