The Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP) will initiate the selection of a new member of the commission for assessing the performance of the suspended prosecutor general Alexandr Stoianoglo, IPN reports.
The commission remained without a member and head after Lidia Bulgac submitted an application to the Superior Council of Prosecutors, informing about her withdrawal from the commission for family reasons. Then, the SCP members ascertained that the regulations concerning the work of the commission do not specify the mechanism or procedure for dealing with such an application.
In the January 26 meeting, the Council decided to supplement the regulations with a new point. This provides that in case of impossibility of holding the post of commission member, the SCP initiates the designation of another member and confirms this to the post.
The period of 30 days of the constitution of the commission expired on December 23. In the period, the assessment commission was to present its report. But the commission didn’t even start work.
