President Igor Dodon and, separately, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu, together with Prime Minister Pavel Filip, on May 24 signed in the book of condolence opened at the British Embassy in Chisinau in memory of the victims of the May 22 Manchester suicide attack, IPN reports.
Andrian Candu firmly condemned terrorism and extremism. “Such attacks have no justification, especially because innocent people are attacked,” he stated.
“I definitely condemn such inhuman acts of cruelty aimed against innocent people and reiterate that my country remains determined and committed to fight terrorism,” said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
President Igor Dodon said that regrettably the danger of terrorism in the modern world becomes more evident. The terror embraces new cities, claiming the lives of innocent and peaceful people. In this situation, all the states of the world should combine efforts to fight this global danger.
The Manchester terrorist attack resulted in least 22 people killed and almost 60 hurt.
