President Nicolae Timofti must not be supported by the protesters because he played Plahotniuc’s game, the leader of the People’s Movement Party “Antmafie” Sergiu Mocanu said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on the public radio station Radio Moldova, IPN reports.
“The denouement with the nomination of a man from Plahotniuc’s company for the premiership was an expected one. Timofti used Ion Sturza in this game. He is a President of the mafia. The people who took to the streets were also used. It was once again shown that the Republic of Moldova failed as a state,” stated the politician.
Sergiu Mocanu provided his explanations why the PL and a part of the MPs of the PLDM signed in favor of the candidate of the PDM. “We now have not ruling parties, but bought MPs. I informed first in 2011 that Ghimpu was in the pocket of Plahotniuc and he sold the MPs of the PL. As to the PLDM, Filat was visited by Plahotniuc, who promised him he will be able to choose the panel of judges and to buy these. Instead, a part of the MPs of the PLDM were to give their votes. Those who signed for the PDM’s candidate for Prime Minister are the trustworthy persons of Filat, who could phone these from the penitentiary,” he said.
