The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) imposed the lowest fine of 1,800 lei on seven local broadcasters that didn’t present reports on the volume of electoral publicity broadcast by them, IPN reports.
The fined broadcasters are: the TV channels “Flor TV”, ”Inter TV”, and “Canal Regional” and the radio stations “Flor FM”, “Budgeac FM”, “Art FM” , and “Radio Pro Mingir”. They were earlier warned publicly for the same violation, but didn’t comply with the regulations concerning the covering of the elections campaign and were thus fined.
As many as 97 media outlets cover the current election campaign – 44 radio stations and 53 TV channels.
