The medical examiner established that the seven-year-old girl from Hasnasenii Mari village of Drochia district, who was found dead in a well, died as a result of the stab wounds received in the neck.
Contacted by IPN, Victoria Robu, press officer of the Drochia Prosecutor’s Office, said that according to the medical examination report, the child suffered hemorrhage in the region of the vagina and the anus. The prosecutors are preparing the indictment against the 27-year-old suspect who is a cousin of the girl’s stepfather. The suspect earlier served time in jail for forging documents.
The girl went missing on January 13. The parents alerted the police the next day. The body was found in a well not far from the village by a local on January 19. Before being thrown into the well, the child was stabbed six times in the neck.
