Sheriff Tiraspol won their away game against Dacia Chisinau, 2-1, on Wednesday, bolstering chances to keep their grip on the championship, Info-Prim Neo reports.
This is Sheriff's seventh consecutive victory in the premiership, which ended Dacia's unbeaten streak.
Even though the game seemed fairly balanced, Dacia failed on a number of occasions and let the visitors score twice in the first half, with the help of the Brazilians Jose Nadson and Jimmy Franca. The Wolves were able to only reduce the gap, courtesy to a free-kick goal by Oleksandr Zgura of Ukraine, currently the best scorer of the premiership.
