Sheriff defeat Zimbru in National Division

Sheriff Tiraspol scored another victory against rivals Zimbru Chisinau in a National Division encounter on Sunday which ended 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored by Russian midfielder Nail Zamaliev, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We managed to score on one of the two great occasions we had”, stated Sheriff manager Vitali Rashkevich at a post-match news conference. In another highlight of the National Division's Round 14, current champions Dacia Chisinau defeated hosts FC Tiraspol, 2:0, thanks to the Balkans Milos Krkotic and Janko Tumbasevic. After these results, Sheriff and Dacia have considerably extended their lead at the top of the National Division to 14 and 13 points respectively. Elsewhere in Round 14, the following results were registered: FC Costuleni – Iskra-Stal Ribnita 3:3, Nistru Otaci – Academia UTM Chisinau 0:1, St. Gheorghe Suruceni – Olimpia Balti 0:1, and CSCA-Rapid Ghidighici – Milsami-Ursidos Orhei 1:1.
