In the last National Division Round XI fixture played on Thursday, September 22, Sheriff Tiraspol defeated their hosts Nistru Otaci, 0-1, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The only goal of the match was scored by Russian striker Alexandr Erohin in the first half.
This result took Sheriff, with 17 points, back to the podium of the Moldovan premiership, where they presently occupy the third place, behind Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa, 27 points, and Dacia Chisinau, 21 points. However the Tiraspol club has as many as three games in hand to regain the top spot.
The next round of the premiership will be played Saturday, September 26. These are the fixtures: : Dinamo – CSCA-Rapid; Zimbru – Sheriff; Nistru – St. Gheorghe; Viitorul – Olimpia; FC Tiraspol – Iskra-Stal; Dacia – Academia UTM.
