Sheriff take National Division lead

Sheriff Tiraspol moved into the National Division lead, profiting from Dacia's quasi failure in Round 29 of the Moldovan premiership over the weekend. While Dacia and Sheriff now have the same number of points, the latter lead on a better goal aggregate, Info-Prim Neo reports. On Sunday, March 20, Sheriff trashed lowly placed St. Gheorghe Suruceni 6-0, as Dacia limited themselves to a goalless draw with Milsami Orhei. This draw also affected Milsami, who fell behind Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa and Olimpia Balti in the National Division's standings. Iskra climbed to the 3rd spot after a 2-1 win over Nistru Otaci, and Olimpia to the 4th having defeated Gagauzia Comrat 4-2. Zimbru Chisinau remain hopeful for the premiership's podium after defeating less experienced FC Costuleni, 2-1.
