Shooting near bar in Sangera

Several gunshots were fired last night near a bar in Sangera town, Chisinau municipality. The police arrested a former convict who tried to resist and fired towards the police officers. In turn, the latter used their guns to restrain the attacker, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the General Police Commissariat, the police were alerted after midnight about a conflict between unknown persons near a bar in Sangera. When the police arrived on the scene, they called on the men to abstain from violent actions. One of the men fired his gun towards the police, who had to retaliate and managed to arrest the shooter. He had a sawed-off hunting rifle. The 47 year old man was arrested and taken to the sector commissariat for hearing. It was found that he had been previously tried for robbery. The police learned that the man and three more armed accomplices, with gloves and masks, attacked the bar guard and stole foods and about 1000 lei. They are charged with robbery, which is punishable by 7 to 12 years in jail.
