The foreign citizens will be able to easier obtain the right to work and stay in Moldova, IPN reports, quoting a bill approved by the Cabinet.
The bill facilitates the employment of foreigners, increasing thus Moldova’s investment attractiveness and contributing to the improvement of the business climate.
For the purpose, the list of documents needed to obtain work permits was shortened, while the institutional capacities of the one-stop shop for foreigners of the Ministry of the Interior’s Bureau for Migration and Asylum will be strengthened.
Also, in order to stimulate the involvement of local labor force in investment projects of national importance, the number of foreign employees will be gradually diminished in favor of those from the Republic of Moldova so that their share is not lower than 50% of the total number of salary earners, after the first five years of work
The changes were worked out in accordance with the Government’s program for 2016-2018.
