Six persons were escorted to the National Anticorruption Center for being informed that they will be investigated as suspects within new criminal cases concerning the provision of bad loans by Banca de Economii, IPN reports.
Four of the suspects were placed under arrest for 72 hours. These are the former president of Banca de Economii and ex-chairman of the bank’s Lending Committee Grigore Gachkevic, the former head of the bank’s Legal Division, the director of SRL Valiexchimp and the director of SRL Mosbani.
The other two suspects – the ex-vice president of Banca de Economii and the former head of the bank’s Economic Security Division- are questioned and were obliged to come to the prosecution officer whenever they are summoned.
Details about the actions of the officers of the National Anticorruption Center and of prosecutors will be provided in a press briefing at 4:30pm.
