Six persons, two of woman minors aged 16 and 17, are accused of murdering Turkish citizen Bayindir Ismet Ismail Ahmet at the end of this January. According to prosecutors, the crime was planned by a woman who had an affair with the victim, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a news conference on June 1, Ruslan Toma, of the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office, said the investigation was completed and the case was sent to court.
“The Moldovans are accused of murdering a Turkish man in an apartment in Chisinau’s Rascani district on January 21,” said the prosecutor.
The six are charged with robbery, intentional murder, attraction of juveniles in criminal activities, illegal holding, carrying and stealing of guns and munitions and escape from detention places.
According to the prosecutor, the woman left her phone in the apartment where the victim lived and returned later on the pretext of taking it together with the other suspects. They hit the victim with a gun and then punched and kicked him. The man died as a result of his injuries. He was found dead in the apartment that he rented on January 31.
The suspects stole golden jewels and money to the value of about 600,000 lei. They face 12 to 20 years in jail or life imprisonment.
