Educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova with a smaller number of students will be helped to achieve high educational standards through a financial centralizer. It will consist of 1% of the expenditure ceiling of each school. The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a decision in this regard, IPN reports.

The accumulated funds will be managed by the Ministry of Education and Research, and the money will be allocated to schools for specific needs, such as capital repair, purchase of means of transport and transport services, and also organization of internships.

"Schools with a small number of students, high schools with a single class and outdated infrastructure affect the quality of studies, and the purpose of the decision is to streamline the allocation and management of finances, but also to ensure transparency and fairness in their distribution," said the Ministry of Education.

This decision will enter into force on January 1, 2025.
